Bullying
Bullying is never tolerated at Swell School . Children and parents are encouraged to talk to staff about any concerns they have for themselves or others. The Junior classroom has a Worry Box where information about any concerns children have can be written and left for the teacher to read, anonymously, if the child prefers. The school has a behaviour policy which is currently in the process of being updated but any questions will happily be answered by staff.
Cyberbullying is an issue mentioned a great deal in the press at the moment. Although this often takes place outside the school, we consider this no less important and any concerns will always be taken seriously by staff.
